The importance of women’s empowerment, particularly raising awareness about women’s position in society, is at the core of H4Her movement. H4Her was founded on May 4th in 2018. by fashion designer Hana Sirćo. A childhood spent in war, the corrupt political scene of the country in which she lives shaped her priorities and woke up her desire to contribute to a better society. What started as a local campaign with a mission to help proteges of Safe House in Sarajevo is now growing into a worldwide journey.
You can turn your head away and live your life, and maybe the injustice won’t happen to you, but it will happen to a girl at school or a woman at cleaning services. Perhaps it will happen to a young businesswoman who had an equally good presentation as her male colleague, but he is called excellent, and she is just ok. Just because it doesn’t happen to you, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s happening to women all around the world every single day. Stay quiet or speak up; it’s up to you! Yes, your voice matters! Discover the people who decided to speak up.

Meet Hana Sirćo, fashion designer and founder of H4Her movement. The girl raised in the horrors of the war grew up into a strong woman ready to change the world.
Here is her message to you:
Being a woman is difficult, it always has been. Society sets the rules and unrealistic models of behavior for women all over the world. Through the campaign, we aim to raise awareness against all forms of violence and to encourage women to have the freedom to decide for their personal and business lives. Every woman should have power and authority over her own body. Every woman should receive equal treatment in the workplace. A woman needs to have the right to choose a partner without being forced to do so. A woman should be allowed to be whatever she wants to be! I want to invite all women to send their message to all women and inspire. I also urge all men to support this campaign, by supporting all women, you will support your mother, sister, girlfriend, wife, and friend.
